In accordance with PTA guidelines, our bylaws must be reviewed and updated every three years. Any proposed changes must be made available to the general membership for 30 days prior to any vote to approve them. From there, they are submitted to the state of Maryland for approval.
Our bylaws are due for review in 2013. A special committee recently met to review our bylaws, and their revisions were approved by the Board of Directors on October 16. The proposed changes can be found at the link below, with all proposed changes indicated in highlighted text. A hard copy will also be available in the front office, where the volunteer sign-in computer is located. Please address any questions or concerns to any executive board member. We will hold a brief general membership meeting on November 21, 2013 at the start of Family Literacy Night to approve these changes.
